About us
Storyteller is a high growth B2B SaaS platform, which allows companies to integrate Stories into their owned and operated platforms. Popularized by Instagram and Snapchat, Stories are perfectly suited for boosting user engagement, audience retention, and driving advertising revenue.
Our end‑to‑end platform gives companies a best‑in‑class Stories experience in days with native iOS, Android, and Web SDKs, publishing tools, analytics, and ad support.
We work with many globally recognised clients, particularly within sport, so if you're a sporting fan this could be a great fit!
Responsibilities
About The Role
Client-facing products and AI-enabled services don't stop at being built. Someone has to implement them with the client, run them reliably, fix what breaks and keep improving them. That's this role.
You'll be given an outcome – a major sports client's product roadmap, a new client-facing product, an AI-enabled service that has to run every day – and you'll own it end to end: plan, people, delivery, operation, improvement. You'll work across clients, Product, Engineering, Design and Support, and you'll direct a small number of more junior team members.
You're not writing the core product code. You are expected to understand the product and its environment well enough to investigate problems yourself, make sound delivery decisions and explain trade-offs to a client without hiding behind internal complexity.
This is a hands-on role. You'll personally drive the important work, not just track it.
What You'll Do
Take products and initiatives from an ambiguous brief through configuration, onboarding, testing, rollout and adoption to reliable day-to-day operation.
Turn messy requests into a plan with owners, dependencies, risks and a definition of done — then run it: brief people, follow up, remove blockers, make the calls.
Own AI-enabled services after launch. Know the prompts, inputs, outputs, dependencies and human review steps, and build the checks that catch weak output and drift before the client does.
Investigate before you escalate. Reproduce the issue, check configuration and expected behaviour, assess impact, and hand Engineering a well-framed problem rather than a forwarded email.
Keep clients confident – clear on progress, honest about uncertainty and constraints — and turn what you learn in delivery into requirements Product and Engineering can act on.
Lead more junior team members: give them context, standards and direct feedback, and expand their ownership as they earn it.
Use AI tools throughout (investigation, analysis, documentation, QA, reporting) while staying responsible for validating the result, and leave behind playbooks, checklists and automation so each cycle is stronger than the last.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
4+ years in implementation, product operations, technical account management, client delivery or similar - and you've personally taken work from ambiguity to a real outcome, not coordinated someone else doing it.
Good decisions with incomplete information. You find the evidence that matters, weigh client impact against quality, cost and speed, and change course when the facts change.
Technical enough to reason about APIs, SDKs, integrations, configuration and data without being an engineer.
Practical AI fluency. You understand how an AI-enabled workflow behaves in production — prompts, inputs, failure modes, review - not just how to use a chatbot.
You can direct people and hold a standard, and you know the difference between activity and results.
You don't wait for a perfect brief or a meeting invite to make progress.
Detail at pace. You spot missing ownership, weak evidence and work that isn't ready.
Useful But Not Required
Operated an AI workflow, automation or platform after launch (quality, monitoring, cost, support).
Implemented SaaS or developer-facing products: APIs, SDKs, CMS, UAT, analytics.
Sport, media, live events or ad-tech background.
Remote startup or scale-up experience where the process didn't exist yet.
What This Isn't
Not a project-management role that lives in the tracker, not a relationship-only account role, and not an engineering role. Ownership doesn't end when a ticket is escalated.
Recruitment Process
Short call focused on your experience, operating judgment and use of AI.
Practical (paid) take-home exercise based on a realistic product-delivery and AI-operations problem. AI use is expected; we will want to understand what you accepted, changed, checked and rejected.
Interview with a team member to discuss your examples, decisions and task approach.
