Stories Captions

Stories Captions automatically generate subtitles for Stories by converting speech into text. These captions help make content more accessible and discoverable, and can be edited or translated directly in the CMS

How to Use Captions in the CMS

Once Story Captions have been enabled for your tenant, you can manage them in the Captions tab of each Page’s settings within a Story .To view or edit captions:

  1. Open a Story

  2. Open the Page Settings for the page where you want to edit captions

  3. Open the Captions tab

  4. Edit the Core Captions text as needed

  5. Click Save.

To regenerate captions:

  1. Click Regenerate to restore the original AI-generated captions. This will overwrite any existing edits and translations.

To remove captions:

  1. Delete all text in the Core Captions field

  2. Click Save to remove captions from the Story page

Localized Captions

Captions Localization allows you to display translated versions of captions. To adjust these:

  1. Open a Story

  2. Open the Page Settings for the page where you want to edit captions

  3. Open the Captions tab

  4. Scroll down to the Localized Captions section

  5. To override the automated translation, click the lock icon and supply your own text

  6. Click Save

Important Notes:

  • Image pages, Trivia Quiz pages, and Poll pages do not support captions

  • The Captions tab will not appear for page types that don't support captions

  • Save button applies changes to both General and Captions tabs
