Creating Trivia Quizzes

To Create a New Storyteller Trivia Quiz, Complete the Following Steps in the CMS

• Select the 'Engagement Units' option from the menu on the left-hand side of the CMS

• Click 'New/Add Engagement Unit' and then select 'Trivia Quiz'

Quiz Details

• Add a title for the Quiz

• Upload an image background asset by clicking the Background Asset field or dropping a file. This is an optional step as you can choose to add a different background to each Quiz question. If you add an image here, it will be used as the default background for all Quiz Pages which you do not choose to upload a background asset for.

  • The ideal dimensions for the background asset are 1080x1920px

  • The maximum file size for the background is 100MB

• Select Next

Questions

• Click 'New Question' and add the title and up to 4 answer options.

• Use the toggle to select the correct answer.

• If you did not set a default background asset at Stage 1, you will be required to add a background asset to the question. You can upload a background asset here which will overwrite the default background asset if you added one.

  • The ideal dimensions for the background asset are 1080x1920px

  • The maximum file size for the background is 100MB

• Repeat the above steps for each question.

• You can use the arrows to re-arrange the order of the Quiz questions.

• Select Next

Results

• If you did not set a default background asset at Stage 1, you will be required to add a background asset for the results Page of the Quiz. You can upload a background asset here which will overwrite the default background asset if you added one.

  • The ideal dimensions for the background asset are 1080x1920px

  • The maximum file size for the background is 100MB

• Select Finish

Managing Trivia Quizzes

A Trivia Quiz can be in one of three states: Incomplete, Processing or Complete:

• Incomplete - A Trivia Quiz is 'Incomplete' if it has less than one question

• Processing - A Trivia Quiz is 'Processing' if the background assets are processing

• Complete - A Trivia Quiz is 'Complete' if it has at least one question with more than one answer and all assets are processed

You can manage an existing Trivia Quiz by clicking the 'Engagement Units' option in the left menu, finding the Trivia Quiz you would like to edit, and clicking the Edit button or the Title of the Trivia Quiz.

This page shows a brief summary of the Trivia Quiz, and allows the Trivia Quiz to be edited or deleted.

Complete Trivia Quizzes can be directly added to a Story from the Trivia Quiz summary page.

Adding a Trivia Quiz to a Story

Using the Story Editor

Similar to image, video, and Poll Pages, Trivia Quizzes can be added directly to a Story using the Story Editor:

• Create a Story or edit an existing Story. See Creating Stories for more information

• Click to add a new Page, and select 'Add Engagement Unit'

• Search for the Quiz you would like to add using the 'Engagement Unit' field, and click 'Save'. This will add the Trivia Quiz to the Story. All of the Trivia Quizzes' questions and result pages will be added to the Story Editor.

• The Trivia Quiz Pages can be reordered in the timeline by drag and dropping regular story pages between each of the quiz pages.

• To edit the pages, hover over the desired quiz page in the Story Editor, and click the Settings cog symbol. From here, the duration of the quiz pages can be updated, and clicking 'Edit Trivia Quiz' will lead directly to the Trivia Quiz form where further changes can be made.

Using the Trivia Quiz Summary

You can also add Trivia Quizzes directly to a new or existing Story from the Trivia Quiz summary page:

• Navigate to the Trivia Quiz summary page by clicking the 'Engagement Units' menu item, locating the Trivia Quiz you wish to add and clicking the Edit button or the Title of the Trivia Quiz

• Use the 'New Story with Quiz' or 'Add to Existing Story' buttons to quickly add the Quiz to a Story

Trivia Quiz Analytics

You can view the analytics of each Trivia Quiz by navigating to the 'Engagement Units' menu, clicking on the Trivia Quiz, and switching to the 'Analytics' tab.
