Creating Collections

To Create a New Storyteller Collection, Complete the Following Steps in the CMS

Creating Collections

• Select the ‘Collections’ option from the menu on the left-hand side of the CMS

• Click ‘New Collection’ in the top right-hand side of the Collections screen.

• Add an ‘Internal Title’ to the Collection – this will be used in the CMS

• Add a ‘Display Title’, this will be displayed in your app and will be seen by users

• Optionally, set an 'Image Title' by uploading a custom 794x100 image, this will then replace the 'Display Title'.

• Choose which ‘Content Source’ you would like your Collection to use

  • A ‘Manual’ content source will require you to manually select which Clips you would like to be in your Collection

  • A ‘Categories’ content source will create a Collection based on Clips added to a particular Category

• You can order a Collection by Alphabetical, Date Created, Date Modified, or Manually, which allows you to arrange clips in a specific order by dragging and dropping them in the CMS interface. Alternatively you can also order a Collection by Storyteller Recommends, that emulates social-media feeds, surfacing the most relevant next clip as a user swipes vertically.

• You can use the Show Titles toggle to control whether Clip titles appear on tiles in the Collection.

Changing the Content Source

To change the content source for a Collection:

• Click the edit button on the side of the Collection list page

• Click on the 'Edit Details' button on the right-hand side

• Change the 'Content Source' drop down box to your preferred option

• Click the save button to keep your change

• After clicking the save button, you will be given the opportunity to abort the change of content source by clicking ‘Cancel’ or confirm it by clicking ‘Yes, Change Content Source'

Deleting a Collection

To delete a Collection:

• Click the edit button on the side of the Collection list page

• Click the delete button on the right-hand side

• After clicking the delete button, you will be given the opportunity to abort the deletion by clicking ‘Cancel’ or confirm it by clicking ‘Yes, Delete.’

Category Navigation

You can use the Category Navigation toggle to control whether the Collection will use the Category Navigation feature.

• Go to Collections

• Select Edit on the relevant Collection

• Scroll Down

• Toggle on Category Navigation

• Ensure that Clips within the collection have been tagged with Categories that are available for navigation in the Category Settings

• Press Save when ready

For You / Following Toggle

This allows users to easily navigate between a personalized For You feed and a streamlined Following feed within the Clips player.

• Go to Collections

• Select Edit on the relevant Collection

• Scroll Down

• Toggle on Following

• Ensure that Clips within the collection have been tagged with Followable Categories in the Category Settings
